Looking for Amy Sayre Photography?

Yes, you're in the right place.

I started Amy Sayre Photography more than a decade ago as 20-something with a serious boyfriend, a Nikon D60 camera and a couple of lenses. A couple of upgraded cameras, plenty more lenses, a husband, and two kids later, photography still brings me an immense amount of joy. But I've also come to the realization that it's time to move on from it.

I've decided to officially close up shop.

Once I had my second kid and started 1000 Words Marketing, photography seemed to be the thing that kept getting in the way of life and spending time with my own family on the weekends. So while I'll still use my cameras to photograph professionals, their products and their businesses to create stellar websites and marketing materials, I won't be spending my weekends photographing families and kids across Chicagoland.

This was not an easy decision. It's hard to walk away from something that has brought so much joy to my life, but where I am in my life right now, it makes sense.

But I want to say a great big THANK YOU.

To anyone I've photographed over the years, to anyone who's left a kind comment on a photo I've posted online, to anyone who has spread the word about me, THANK YOU, sincerely from the bottom of my heart. I feel so privileged to have done this for as long as I did, and I wouldn't trade those memories and the photos I created for even the fanciest of Nikon cameras.

Amy Sayre Photography was the first business I created.

It helped me see that starting a business wasn't as hard or as scary as I thought it might be. I will always be thankful for the lessons it taught me and the confidence it gave me to start my second business, 1000 Words Marketing.
